The six broadband (ugrizy) filters in the Rubin LSSTCam create opportunities for a greater diversity of science investigations. However, as you have learned, all six filters are not needed to create a color balanced image that conveys a science message. What’s important is that the appropriate set of filters are selected for the science case.
An image will appear when you select filters. Your goal is to create a color balanced image that shows where star formation is occurring in the galaxy.
